Toy Chests

Good toy chests for girls can be just as hard to find as those for boys.  But when you are searching for the perfect touch for your little princess’s bedroom, you can find a few that are attractive and functional.

Character themed toy chests, like the one on the left, abound.  These models are probably the most popular.  I prefer my toy chests a little more sturdy so that kids can climb in and out of them.  (And if you don’t believe that will happen, just wait until they are two or three.)  Most people have said these hold up for a few years.  Disney themed boxes are the easiest to find, so if your daughter is into Arial or Cinderella, you should be able to find a chest that will match her room.

But toy chests for girls don’t need to be all fairies and princesses.  Sometimes, a solid wooden box will work just as well.  These can be attractive, and they will last for storing her treasures as she gets older.  But some girls do get their hearts set on having everything be about one character, so that is fine as well.

Just remember, whatever you choose to do, they are only little once.  Enjoy your daughter as much as you can.  Get her to help you shop around for toy chests for girls, and use that time to bond!
