Toy Chests

Sometimes, we just need to get an inexpensive toy chest for the kids to stash their toys away.  Here’s an overview of some nice toy chests under $50:

This one from Kangaroo is attractive, has good reviews, and is affordable.  It’s not a hard wooden box.  However, it is very roomy and sturdy for a canvas box.  It’s also easy to move from place to place while empty.  You could even use it in the trunk of your car for storage once the kids outgrow it.

This next one comes in both pink and blue.  It is very inexpensive, and also has really good reviews.  The Sassy soft sided toy organizer is great for holding a lot of toys for less.  Again, it’s not a solid wood box.  But it is a nice alternative.

Now, if you want a wooden toy chest, you can find one for less than $50.  However, you will be sacrificing on either size or quality of the wood.  If the toy box is bigger, it generally has thinner plywood and won’t last for very long.  Smaller toy boxes are sturdier, but they don’t hold as much.  Here are a few wooden boxes you may be interested in.
